Organizational Overview

Youth Forum for Human rights (YFHR) are an organization in Nepal who state in their mission statement that they have a ‘campaign for social transformation’. They are targeting Global goals 4 (quality education), 16 (peace and justice) and 17 (global partnerships). Their work is centered around working in Kapilvastu district to support ‘Peace building’. They support a USIP program and conduct various types of campaigns and advocacy in the area. Their aim is to work with all communities and stakeholders (schools, industry, factories) to increase social responsibility and reduce activities against human rights. Some of their recent campaigns have been against child marriage, violence against women and gender violence.

Training Programme Outline

Why do they need this training?

YFHR require a professional who can assist them with their Web skills. They want to develop fundraising and be able to advertise further afield, They also need to consider developing their journalistic/writing skills but are unable to do so effectively at present due to limitations in their practical web skills. They require a professional who can show them how.

Who would fit this role?

The professional volunteer needs to have great web skills, including show thee staff team how to update web pages and how to use social media platforms to good use. You will need to be able to also show them how to set up a post, and manage safety of social media platforms. You will also guide them through some basic microsoft office apps, like word and PPT.
